What is there to discover here?
Roller Blú is tucked away on the 3rd floor of Bluport Mall, right next to the escalator. The whole setup is indoors and air-conditioned – a blessing during Hua Hin’s heat. The rink itself is bright and clean, surrounded by lights, retro-style murals, and upbeat music that gives it a 70s roller disco feeling.
One of the best features for the skaters is the separated learner zone. It’s clearly marked, located off to the side, and securely surrounded by straw bales that act as both boundaries and bumpers. Perfect for wobbly beginners who might need a soft landing!
Enea headed straight to this area, strapped on his skates, and got rolling. There were only a few other kids around, so he had plenty of space to move, stumble, and giggle his way across the floor.
Even though it was only his second time on skates, Enea quickly gained confidence. The floor is smooth, and the straw provides a safe way to bounce back after little falls. After about 10 minutes, he started pushing off more bravely and letting go of the walls.
Now and then, staff members came over to check on us. They were friendly, encouraging, and happy to offer tips – even if you bring your own gear. Older kids zipped around the main rink to the rhythm of funky disco beats, sometimes joining in on staff-led skate dances. Enea mostly stayed in his straw zone, but he watched the action with glowing eyes.
Meanwhile, I found a bench to relax and take photos, cheering him on while he learned and improved with every lap.
As a dad, I was thrilled to see Enea challenge himself, try something outside his comfort zone, and leave the rink beaming with pride. Roller Blú made it easy – a safe, welcoming place that combines music, movement, and a splash of disco magic.
If you’re a parent in Hua Hin looking for indoor action that doesn’t involve screens or soft play, this roller rink is a must. Bonus: no special weather conditions needed. Rain or shine, your child can roll and laugh to their heart’s content.
We’ll definitely be back – and next time, I might even join him on wheels.
