What is there to discover here?
One of the first things we noticed was how few animals there were. For a place marketed as a “sheep farm,” the number of sheep was surprisingly low. While the sheep we saw were adorable and friendly, there simply weren’t enough to make the visit feel worthwhile. There were also a few other animals scattered around the property, but they didn’t add much to the overall experience.
The one standout feature of the farm, however, was the giraffes. They were by far the highlight of our visit. Feeding them was a wonderful experience—we loved being so close to these majestic animals and watching them gently take food from our hands. This moment was fun and memorable and made the trip feel somewhat worthwhile. Without the giraffes, though, the farm would have felt very underwhelming.
One of the biggest disappointments was the pricing. For what the farm offers, the entry fee felt quite high. Once inside, additional charges for feeding the animals and other activities quickly added up, making the visit feel overpriced for the limited experience. We couldn’t help but feel that we didn’t get good value for our money.
On the brighter side, the farm does have a few spots that are perfect for Instagram photos. There are colorful decorations, quirky props, and, of course, the giraffes, which make for fantastic pictures. However, even these setups felt like they were created to compensate for the lack of other engaging attractions.
The overall vibe of the farm was a bit lackluster. While the staff were friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere felt tired and a little sad. It seemed like the farm was struggling to keep things running smoothly, and the lack of maintenance was hard to ignore.
Our visit to the Zucata Sheep Farm left us with mixed feelings. Feeding the giraffes was undoubtedly the highlight and gave us a unique experience we’ll remember. However, the limited number of animals, the rundown facilities, and the steep pricing made it hard to fully enjoy.
If you’re in Hua Hin and looking for a short stop with some Instagram-worthy photo opportunities, it might be worth a visit—especially if you’re excited to feed giraffes. However, if you’re looking for a more engaging or well-rounded animal experience, you might want to explore other options in the area.
